Taking into account the characteristics of the three subspecies, clearly the nominal is the most prized to be used as a pet, especially by the external appearance of the birds. As we have already mentioned, both the grays and the tail vinegar have similar capabilities for playback of sounds, skills and intelligence. However, we will focus on the red tail, in his wonderful skills and also in its drawbacks, very few, as pets. The results of Dr. leave no doubt, grey parrots, and also other species of parrots have a surprising, like that of a child intelligence three or four years. This idea, which is very popular for years, went on to possess scientific solidity thanks to the work of Pepperberg. Alex was a yaco who commissioned the American teacher at random, an Aviary of Chicago. Laboratory results made over the years, with the Alex yaquito, endorsed that hitherto were mere hypothesis concerning the capabilities of parrots. The grays are intelligent and sensitive animals. They are experts in detecting mood of their owners. Anyone who intends to share his life with one of these birds, should know that you are buying a being living, social by nature and, consequently, largely dependent on its owner. A properly socialized Grey parrot can offer affection for pouring and endless satisfaction their herd mates.
